How to Apply for Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme

📢 What is the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme?

This entry allows candidates to join the Indian Navy as Permanent Commissioned Officers in Executive and Technical branches after completing a 4-year B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.

The training is fully sponsored by the Navy, and selected candidates are commissioned as officers upon successful completion.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

🔹 Nationality

  • Must be an Indian citizen.

🔹 Marital Status

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Married candidates or those who marry during training will be disqualified and liable to refund training cost.

🔹 Educational Qualification

  • Passed 10+2 (PCM) or equivalent with minimum 70% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

  • Minimum 50% marks in English (in Class 10 or 12)

🔹 JEE Main

  • Must have appeared for JEE Main 2025 (Paper I).

  • Shortlisting is based on the All India Common Rank List (CRL) published by NTA.


🧪 Medical Standards

  • All candidates recommended by SSB must undergo a medical examination.

  • Standards are as per 10+2 B.Tech entry and available on www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

  • No relaxation in medical standards or change of medical centre is allowed.


🧭 Selection Procedure


Step 1: Shortlisting for SSB

  • Candidates are shortlisted based on JEE (Main) CRL rank.

  • Only shortlisted candidates receive SSB call letters via email/SMS.


Step 2: SSB Interview

  • Conducted at Bhopal, Bangalore, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam.

  • Includes:

    • Stage I: OIR Test + PPDT

    • Stage II: Psychology Test, GTO tasks, Interview

🎫 Candidates appearing for SSB for the first time will get AC 3-tier fare reimbursement.


Step 3: Medical Exam

  • Only SSB-recommended candidates will undergo medicals.


Step 4: Final Merit List

  • Prepared based on SSB performance.

  • Final appointment subject to medical fitness, police and character verification, and availability of vacancies.

  • Entire cost including books, clothing, and mess is borne by the Indian Navy

Applications must be submitted online only at 👉 www.joinindiannavy.gov.in


Step 1: Register/Login

  • New users: Register with email, mobile, and personal details.

  • Existing users: Login using credentials.


Step 2: Complete Profile

  • Fill academic details including JEE Main Roll No. and Rank.

  • Ensure accuracy as per Class 10 and 12 certificates.


Step 3: Upload Documents

Prepare scanned copies (JPG/TIFF format) of the following:

  • Passport-size photograph

  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets

  • JEE Main 2025 Scorecard

  • Valid ID proof

🚨 If any document is illegible, your application will be rejected.


Step 4: Apply for the Entry

  • Go to ‘Current Opportunities’

  • Click Apply Now under 10+2 (B.Tech) Entry – Jan 2026

  • Verify details and submit application


Step 5: Print the Application

  • Save and print the PDF copy of your application

  • Bring it with original documents during the SSB interview
