📌 What is the Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme?

The 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme is a direct SSB entry into the Indian Navy’s Executive and Technical branches. Candidates who are selected undergo a 4-year B.Tech course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, fully funded by the Indian Navy.

Once training is complete, cadets are commissioned as Permanent Commission Officers.

🎯 Eligibility Criteria


✦ Nationality & Gender

  • Must be a citizen of India

  • Both boys and girls can apply (up to 6 vacancies for girls)


✦ Age Limit

  • Born between 02 July 2006 and 01 January 2009 (inclusive)


✦ Educational Qualification

  • Passed Class 12 with:

    • Minimum 70% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)

    • Minimum 50% in English (either in Class 10 or 12)


✦ JEE Main Requirement

  • Must have appeared for JEE (Main) 2025 – Paper I

  • Shortlisting is strictly based on the Common Rank List (CRL)


📋 Number of Vacancies

  • Total Vacancies: 44

  • Maximum for Girls: 6

  • Final allocation between Executive and Technical branches will be done at INA based on naval requirements.


🧭 Selection Procedure

1. Shortlisting

Candidates are shortlisted based on their JEE (Main) 2025 CRL Rank.


2. SSB Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interviews at one of the following centres:

  • Bhopal

  • Bangalore

  • Kolkata

  • Visakhapatnam

SSB will include:

  • OIR Test + PPDT (Stage I)

  • Psychology, GTO, and Personal Interview (Stage II)

Candidates appearing for the first time are eligible for AC 3-tier train fare reimbursement.


3. Medical Examination

SSB-recommended candidates must pass the medical standards prescribed for B.Tech entry.


4. Merit List

Final selection is based on SSB marks and medical fitness. The merit list will determine who gets inducted.
