1. General Bipin Rawat – India’s First Chief of Defence Staff (CDS)

General Bipin Rawat, an NDA alumnus, was the first officer to be appointed as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), a landmark step in India's defence reform. Known for his fearless leadership and operational brilliance, he served the nation for over four decades. His untimely demise in a helicopter crash in 2021 was a huge loss to the Armed Forces.

5. Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria – 26th Chief of Air Staff

An ace pilot and NDA topper, Air Chief Marshal R.K.S. Bhadauria took over as the Air Chief during a crucial phase when the IAF was inducting Rafale fighter jets. He played a key role in the Rafale acquisition deal.

6. General Manoj Pande – First Engineer to Become Army Chief
